DIN 2391 ST52 Cold Drawn Honed Seamless Precision Steel Tube for Hydraulic Cylinders

DIN 2391 ST52 (1.0580 / E355) cold drawn honed seamless precision steel tubes are the industry standard for hydraulic cylinder barrel manufacturing. With a precisely honed or skived-and-roller-burnished (SRB) inner surface, these tubes deliver the tight dimensional tolerances and surface finish required for reliable hydraulic piston seal performance.

Precision Manufacturing Process
  • Cold Drawn Base Tube: Seamless ST52 steel tube cold drawn to achieve close OD/ID/wall thickness tolerances
  • Skiving & Roller Burnishing (SRB): Advanced finishing process removes a thin layer (skiving) then cold-works the ID surface (burnishing) for Ra ≤0.2μm finish
  • Honing Option: Conventional honing available for larger diameters with Ra ≤0.4μm surface finish
  • High Strength Grade: ST52 provides excellent weldability and superior mechanical properties for demanding hydraulic applications
  • Straightness Guaranteed: ≤1mm per meter ensures smooth piston travel without binding
